Fairfield Independent Hospital is pleased to confirm that it is compliant with the Government's requirement to eliminate mixed sex accommodation, except where it is in the patient's overall best interest, or reflects their personal choice. We have the necessary facilities, resources and culture to ensure that when a patient is admitted to our Hospital they will not share the room where they sleep with a member of the opposite sex. All bathrooms are ensuite.

If our care should fall short of the required standard we will report it.

Fairfield Hospital has one of the largest and busiest private Outpatient Departments in the North West providing a range of diagnostic services for all specialties, with:

  • Comprehensive Radiological services, including X-ray, MRI Scan, Spiral CT Scan
  • Chartered state registered Physiotherapists who provide a wide range of Physiotherapy treatments to relieve pain, promote relaxation and restore movement, and whose facilities comprise of air-conditioned treatment areas, a separate gymnasium and a large hydrotherapy pool.
  • A GP Cosmetic Skin Clinic, which offers Pulsed Light Treatment for Skin Rejuvenation.

Quality Healthcare and Standards at Fairfield Independent Hospital

We want to help patients and their GPs make informed choices when it comes to healthcare. We also want to show you the quality of the care we provide at Fairfield Hospital. This is just one part of our programme to improve our already high standards of clinical quality and safety. Fairfield hospital is registered with the Care Quality Commission and is required to meet the rigorous standards they set for independent hospitals. The standards include the quality and safety of treatment, cleanliness of the hospitals, staff recruitment and training and information available to patients.

Patient Questionnaire Analysis – January to December 2011

From January to December 2011 the Hospital admitted four thousand six hundred and sixty one patients. Three thousand eight hundred and fourteen questionnaires had been returned, from inpatients and day cases, which provided the Hospital Management Team and staff with feedback, on all aspects of their care, from pre-admission process, arrival at the hospital, treatment, care and discharge.

During this period, an eighty one percent response was obtained. Ninety nine percent of those who responded rated the overall standard either "very good" or "excellent".
