- Please bring any medication that you are taking and follow the fasting instructions that are sent to you with your admission letter.
- For security reasons, we request that you do not bring large amounts of cash or any valuables.
- Upon arrival at a separate reception, a nurse escort will take you to your own en-suite room and explain all the details relating to your stay.
Your room - All bedrooms have the very latest electronic profiling beds, personal telephones and digital TV’s with Sky and radio channels. There is also a peaceful landscaped rehabilitation roof garden and garden patio areas adjacent to some patient rooms.
- During your stay you will also receive a daily newspaper of your choice.
- Fairfield Hospital provides a wide selection of Chef prepared meals, including a la carte menu and provision for special dietary requirements, but would be grateful if you could let us know in advance of your stay if you have any food allergies so that we can make sure we can satisfy your needs.
Visiting is between 10.00 hrs and 21.00 but as part of our open doors policy, your visitors can come to see you at any time providing you have agreement from the Senior Nurse that it will not interfere with your treatment or recovery.
Your child in hospital - our Paediatric Team will care for your child and a dedicated Paediatric Nurse will be here for the entire duration of their stay. Parents are encouraged to stay all day, and a bed will be provided for one parent if your child has to stay overnight. We recommend that you speak to one of our Paediatric Nurses prior to your child coming in, and if possible visit in advance with your child.
