Before considering surgery, it is important to be aware that all surgical procedures carry a certain amount of risk and it is important that you understand the risks involved with chalazion (meibomian cyst) removal.
You will require an initial consultation with one of our registered Consultant Ophthalmologists to assess the cyst and confirm if treatment is required. Depending on the type, size and location of the lesion you may need to have it surgically removed in clinic or theatre. Guide prices can vary.
During the examination particular attention is taken to exclude any underlying conditions causing the chalazion (meibomian cyst).
