A Facet joint injection can provide short term relief, Facet joint injections are not suitable for long term pain relief, your specialist consultant will offer you an alternative treatment that will be beneficial to you for long term pain relief.
The procedure includes live X-Ray images and a dye injected through a needle which will allow Dr Sharma to confirm the source of the pain in your lumbar region before the steroid solution is injected.
