Hammer Toes

A Hammer toe is a toe that is bent permanently downwards, typically as a result of pressure from footwear.

Hammer toes are a common and painful condition. We have Orthopaedic Consultant Surgeons that specialise in treating hammer toes as well as claw, mallet and cross-over toes.

If you are concerned about severe or persistent pain caused by hammer toes or any other toe deformities you should speak to your GP. You can ask to see one of our Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons privately without any long delays.

Our Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons specialise in diagnosing and treating symptoms caused by hammer toes and offer a range of non-surgical and surgical treatments, including:

  • Orthotics
  • Toe arthroplasty
  • Toe arthrodesis
