Statement of Purpose
This document sets out the Statement of Purpose for Fairfield Independent Hospital. It aims to meet the requirements in line with all the relevant legislation, namely the Health and Social Care Act 2008, and the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009, by outlining how we will fulfil our range of duties and responsibilities in meeting the needs of the communities we serve.
Introduction
Fairfield Independent Hospital has over 190 members of staff dedicated to our patients well being. All our staff have gained qualifications relevant to their roles, and we actively support and encourage their continuing education and development, so that we are able to provide consistently high quality treatment.
Over 100 consultants also choose to treat their patients at Fairfield Independent Hospital. Whilst working in partnership with the hospital staff to ensure high standards of care, consultants are independent contractors and are not employed by the hospital.

The health care services provided at Fairfield Independent Hospital are open to all patients, whether covered by insurance, paying for themselves, or being treated as part of our contract with the NHS.

Fairfield Independent Hospital is an independent charitable organisation, and has been one of the North West’s leading independent healthcare providers for 50 years. It is a not for profit organisation, which means that any profits made are invested into health and care services, in order to improve our facilities and services.
All patients are accommodated in a single room with en suite facilities. The hospital also provides disabled access and facilities and hearing impairment loops for the hard of hearing. We can offer patient information in large print for the visually impaired. The hospital also has access to interpreter services for both inpatients and outpatients. |
