Miss Rieka Taghizadeh is registered on the UK General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist register in Plastic surgery and is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (BAPRAS) and British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).

Miss Taghizadeh is also now a member of ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons).

She is a faculty member of a number of key International meetings in Breast Surgery and Breast Reconstruction.
Miss Taghizadeh reviews regularly for the International Plastic Surgery Journal as well.

Her practice has a strong focus on safety and natural results. As well as technical attention to detail and striving for an ideal outcome, she places great emphasis on making the patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout the process as well as ensuring all her patients have a full understanding of all stages of the treatment offered.

Miss Taghizadeh privately offers all aspects of breast surgery (Augmentation, Reduction, Uplift, Male Breast Surgery and reconstruction), and all emerging fields of Aesthetic Breast Corrective Surgery including Fat Transfer.

She is one of the few surgeons to combine the technique of breast augmentation or uplift with fat transfer in order to rejuvenate and improve the quality of breast tissue and skin.

She also performs fat transfer for breast enlargement or correction of asymmetry in suitable patients.

She offers private body Contouring such as Tummy Tuck, Fat transfer, Liposuction, Body lift (post weight-loss surgery) and she also undertakes Facial Aesthetic Surgery such as Blepharoplasty operations as well as non-invasive procedures.

She graduated from Dundee University Medical School in 2000. Specialist training in Plastic Surgery was completed at the Northern Deanery, Newcastle. She has undertaken a Microsurgical Fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital London, an Oncoplastic Fellowship, followed by travelling Fellowships to world-renowned units including Barcelona, Helsinki, Dusseldorf and Singapore. She completed an Aesthetic Fellowship at the Wellington Hospital in London, prior to commencing her Consultant post.

Her NHS practice is concentrated around Micro-Surgical Breast Reconstruction and Breast Corrective Surgery.

Miss Taghizadeh is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon based at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

She has been involved in raising awareness of Breast Reconstruction and taken part in organising charity events at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital and St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals in celebration of Breast Reconstruction Day.

She has been involved in the production of educational television programmes associated with Persian BBC with a large viewership, in particular in the Middle East.
