Personal Profile
Mr Tehrani is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Mohs surgeon and is the founder of the Mersey Supraregional Centre for Mohs Surgery, serving areas from Liverpool to Chester, North Wales, Preston, Manchester and beyond.
Mr Tehrani trained at a number of prestigious centres, including Guy’s & St Thomas’s, the Royal London, and Cambridge hospitals. He then completed a 2 year research degree in Basal Cell Carcinoma, before going on to specialise in skin cancer management.
Mr Tehrani trained in Mohs Micrographic Surgery to become the first Plastic Surgeon in the UK to be trained in both Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Mohs Surgery and has dedicated his career to helping treat people with skin cancer. His past and present career includes:
- President of the British Society for Mohs Surgery
- UK lead for the Plastic surgery specialist interest group in Mohs surgery
- UK lead for skin cancer training fellowships (Mohs & Facial reconstruction), for Health Education England
- Lead Surgeon for, and founder of, the Mersey Supraregional Centre for Mohs Surgery
- Chairman & lead for the UK surgical Mohs guidelines & service standards
- National award from the Department of Health in recognition of services to healthcare
- Board member for the Confederation of British Surgery
- Founder and lead trainer for Surgeryskills.com, a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation that teaches surgery globally, and author of 2 surgical textbooks
- Senior trainer of surgeons, including Consultants, in Mohs surgery and Facial reconstruction
Mr Tehrani strongly believes in ensuring treatment is tailored to individual needs and fully understands the concerns patients have when undergoing their treatment. By maintaining a professional but relaxed atmosphere, he and his team are proud to have helped thousands of people through their treatment with the least amount of stress possible.
