Mr Tehrani is a world-renowned Plastic & Mohs surgeon, specialising in the treatment of a range of skin issues including:

  • Skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma & squamous cell carcinoma), including Mohs surgery
  • Moles (mole check and removal)
  • Cysts
  • Lipomas
  • Other conditions such as keratosis

 

Current/previous roles

Mr Tehrani has been a Consultant in the NHS since 2012, working at St Helens & Whiston Hospitals. He is internationally recognised with current and previous roles including:

  • UK lead for Mohs & skin cancer training, with Health Education England
  • UK Chair & founder of the Plastic surgery specialist interest group for Mohs surgery
  • National Plastic Mohs surgery education & development lead
  • Founder of the Mersey Supraregional Mohs surgery service
  • Chair/lead for the National Mohs surgery multidisciplinary group
  • Chair & lead author for the UK surgical guidelines on Mohs surgery

 

Mr Tehrani has also founded, runs, and self-funds a non-profit organisation (Surgeryskills.com), which provides surgery training; to date he has

taught over 7,000 students worldwide for free. He has also published two surgical training books, together with over 50 research publications.

His achievements and dedication to patient care have been recognised by the Department of Health with a National award for excellence in healthcare.
