What's included:
Initial consultation guide price covers the cost of your initial appointment with your consultant. The consultation fee is due in full on the day of the consultation.
Diagnostic investigations guide price covers the approximate cost of any tests you may require to assist the consultation such as x-rays and blood tests. If your consultant advises that you need additional diagnostic investigations, for example scans, we will advise you of the prices before the additional test is carried out. Payment for any diagnostic investigations is due in full on the day of the investigation. Any associated costs will be made clear to you before you proceed with your care.
Main Treatment guide price covers your stay in hospital as long as it is clinically necessary. This fixed price includes all tests, fees for your consultant and anaesthetist during your procedure, and any nursing care, medication and food after. The guide price also covers the cost of any prosthesis that you may require from a standard range of prostheses supplied by the hospital. If your consultant advises that you need a different prosthesis, or you request a non standard item, then the guide price for your treatment will alter. This will be made clear to you before you go ahead with your treatment. The payment for the main treatment is due in full, five days prior to your admission date.
Post discharge care following your discharge from hospital is included in your fixed price care package. This price includes post-op consultations and physiotherapy visits (up to the number stated), removal of any stitches, change of dressings and any medication you need to take home with you.
About your recovery:
What happens after Dupuytren’s fasciectomy?
After your Dupuytren’s fasciectomy, you will be transferred to the recovery ward and then to your private room.
You should be able to go home on the same day or the day after.
It is important that you follow the advice the Hospital and the consultant provide you.
Do not drive until you are confident about controlling your vehicle and, always check with your insurance policy and with your doctor.
